Masai Mara is definitely the place to be to see lions. We saw so many and from so close as you may be able to tell from some of the pictures. I was using a Canon 300mm L Lens, so if the driver took us close to an animal often it was too close for me. The experience, however, was incredible. August is not only the season for the great Wildebeest migration, it is also mating season for the lions. So in a manner of speaking it was a rather X-Rated safari.
